Ronald L. Burgess
Ron Burgess became involved with entrepreneurship far before it was
popular. At the University of Colorado Business School in the, no
courses were offered for small business. Nearly all his classmates
went to work for Fortune 500 firms. Instead, Ron opened a specialty
retail store. Ten years, seven stores, and a small manufacturing plant
later, he left his entrepreneurial endeavors and went to work for
the nations largest retail merchandising consulting firm.
With three years as a field consultant, and four more as the Director
of Product Development, he came into contact with hundreds of small
businesses and their problems. An advocate of technology use by small
business, he directed early PC software projects in the areas of automated
decision making. During this time he became interested in automating
the merchandising and marketing functions of business.
With an emphasis on using affordable technology and systems to give
clients a strategic advantage, Burgess has shepherded and partnered
three successful businesses as out-growths of his practice.
Rons background in small business management, and vast real-life
experience in marketing and technology, creates a unique perspective
which is so necessary in todays new marketplace.
Ron holds degrees in Business and Graphics Arts. He is a frequent
speaker on marketing technology and has written over 100 articles
on management and marketing.
