Information & Administrative Operations Manager

Steadily growing and well established production and delivery company seeks a strong, yet diplomatic manager to lead in the area of information technology and administrative operations. Located on the Front Range of Colorado, this company delivers from south Denver to south of Fort Collins. Position reports to top executives, and requires BS in Business or IT systems (MBA preferred) and 7 to 10 years of progressively increasing responsibilities in a technically oriented position. Summary: The Information & Administrative Operations Manager will be a person who enjoys technology and business analysis and also has the ability to manage, with a good level of diplomacy, those who will operate and maintain company systems, and report data. This person will lead the company into a deeper IT environment and be directly involved in research and reporting, and in making recommendations to the executive level. He/she will maintain all company information and will be expected to have critical thinking skills and analytic abilities. This person will have a major influence on business systems analysis and implementation and be part of the Executive Committee. Successful experience in this position can lead to a high-level management position. The position reports directly to the Controller.

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Create, report on, and manage all company informational, administrative operational and hardware systems.
  • Take a lead roll in assessing company information and administrative operational efficiencies, and in recommending resulting courses of action from that information.
  • Take responsibility for on-time and accurate data reporting in areas of responsibility.
  • Train company personnel in the use of administrative operational systems.
  • Continue an ongoing review and knowledge of industry advances and upgrades related to company systems and hardware.
  • Maintain an intimate knowledge of critical systems and the information created
  • Maintain an overview inventory of general systems and operations with listing by function and department.
      • Understand and maintain internal accounting systems;
      • Understand and maintain home delivery and customer invoicing;
      • Understand and maintain route logistics systems and use;
      • Understand and maintain customer prospecting mapping and sales planning;
      • Understand and maintain customer service systems;
      • Understand and maintain product production systems and future software;
      • Understand and maintain farm and herd tracking systems.
  • Report findings to, and participate in the Executive Committee.

Requirements:

  • BS in Business or IT systems and 7 to 10 years of progressively increasing responsibilities in a technically oriented position, including developing and/or running IT department.
  • An understanding of MySQL or SQL in a Microsoft environment, Crystal Reports, Access, Excel, ARC Logistics, GIS logistics, Systems Administration
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning or a strategically focused position.
  • Preference to MBA degree
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with business information flow
  • Capability to grasp and analyze a wide spectrum of data and report on same.
  • IT candidates should have a very strong understanding of business processes.
  • Business candidates should have a strong working knowledge of networks, security, software application management.
